Upstate Landlord Coalition to Meet

Upstate New York Landlords Unite

Aug 22, 2019

On Tuesday, September 10, landlords around the state are invited to discuss next steps in reaction to the new Tenant Protection and Housing Stability laws of 2019. This event will take place at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY and have speakers from by NYCRAA (New York Capital Region Apartment Association), National Apartment Association and other key landlord adovates. The changes to law went into effect on June 17, with some provisions lagging until October 17 "in effect" date. Regardless, the bill and law made sweeping changes to the landlord-tenant statues and thus, the relationships. FLLA members can review our legal brief on these changes in our Member Document Library. These changes are being discussed as well as next steps in the effort to push back against majority lawmakers.
