New York State

Fair Housing Laws
Know your responsibilities and mandates under the Federal Housing Law.
NYS State Division of Human Rights (DHR) and Federal Housing Urban Development (HUD) both enforce fair housing discrimination. Know the law before you rent.
Applicant Screening
Federal Trade Commission - Fair Credit Reporting Act states, "Companies that provide information to consumer reporting agencies also have specific legal obligations, including the duty to investigate disputed information."
